Baltimore opened the game with immediate pressure, scoring just 15 seconds into the match when Patrick Thompson put the Blast ahead 1–0. Juan Pereira doubled the lead at 4:00, giving Baltimore early control. Utica responded at 6:28 through Sergio Pinal, but the Blast restored their two‑goal advantage at 14:37 when Eber Ospina scored off a setup from Oumar Sylla. Baltimore led 3–1 after the first quarter.

Utica struck first in the second quarter with a goal from Geo Alves at 3:38, cutting the lead to 3–2. Baltimore answered quickly at 4:18 when Kevaughn Frater scored to make it 4–2. The Blast added another late in the half at 14:59 when Nico Williams finished a pass from Pereira, sending Baltimore into halftime with a 5–2 lead.

Baltimore extended the lead in the third quarter with two goals in quick succession. Frater scored his second of the night at 10:11, followed by another from Williams at 10:32 to push the advantage to 7–2. Utica responded at 11:40 with a set‑piece goal from Joey Tavernese, but the Blast maintained a 7–3 lead heading into the fourth.

Utica continued to push in the final quarter, scoring at 4:24 when Juan Salazar converted a corner from Gordy Gurson to make it 7–4. Baltimore answered at 6:22 with Frater completing his hat trick, extending the lead to 8–4. With Utica using the sixth attacker, Pereira added his second of the night at 12:47 to make it 9–4. Gurson scored the final goal for Utica at 14:16, closing the game at 9–5.
