Francis Scott Key's junior varsity boys soccer team shut out Smithsburg 3-0 at FSK Tuesday evening, controlling the game from the opening kickoff through the final whistle.
The Eagles built a two-goal cushion in the first half and closed out the result with an insurance goal in the second, while the defense held Smithsburg without a goal across both 35-minute periods.
Xavier Ward opened the scoring with 17:50 remaining in the first half. Yahaya Yahaya followed just over a minute later, finding the net with 16:29 left before the break and putting FSK up 2-0. The Eagles carried that lead into halftime.
Cam Bullock added the third goal with 33:35 remaining in the second half, extending the margin and putting the outcome out of reach for Smithsburg.

FSK's back line held throughout the match, limiting Smithsburg to isolated scoring chances and closing the night without conceding. Kickoff was scheduled for 5 p.m., with the match played under clear, warm conditions that shifted toward evening light as the second half progressed.

The shutout gave FSK a clean sheet at home and a three-goal margin built on two early strikes and a second-half finish that put the result away.
