Gene Snitsky, Jordan Evans and Luke McCarren defeated Tyler Hastings and The Brothers Gray in the main event of WDWA No Remorse on Saturday at the Berkeley County Youth Fairgrounds.
The Brothers Gray revealed they had taken out Sam Adams. Snitsky answered by introducing McCarren as the replacement. Snitsky and McCarren finished Hastings with a tandem chokeslam, with McCarren standing on the turnbuckle to match Snitsky's height. Hastings was left alone outside the ring.
Axl Crowe returned in the sixth match, after Legion, made up of Phoenix and Wraith, beat Kemante White and Darryl Diamond with a double powerbomb. The arena went dark as Legion celebrated, a music box appeared at the entrance, and Crowe came to the ring with a baseball bat and cleared it.
In the fifth match, O'Shay Edwards beat Javari Wolf with a slam in a power-versus-power matchup. JTR, who was scouting both men, grabbed Wolf's leg from outside the ring. After the bell, JTR offered Edwards a Money & Power t-shirt and a place in the group. Edwards declined and threw the sweat-covered shirt back in JTR's face.
The refusal proved to be a ruse. In the seventh match, Clay Jacobs and A.K. Baine brawled to a double count out, with Ari Noir making her presence known throughout. Edwards then came out of nowhere to attack Baine, to the delight of JTR.
The number one contender triple-threat went to Banshee. Gabby Gilbert controlled the early going before the match became a brawl on the floor between Banshee and Juliette Devereaux. Devereaux used holy water and a rosary but could not finish Banshee because Dex interfered from outside.
Ranchhand Carlson beat Levi Mortalis in the second match with a clothesline. Mortalis delivered hard-hitting offense with JTR on commentary. After the match, Carlson threw a wad of tape at JTR.
Cheeseburger beat Joey Martinez in the fourth match, a grappling-heavy contest between two evenly matched competitors. Cheeseburger cartwheeled around the ring at times and fought for a stretch with one hand behind his back.
THIS IS WAR opened the night with a win over Eddie Espo and Christian Strange. Rayo and Keo Vandu brought high-flying tag team offense against the ground and pound of Espo and Strange.
