Jason Hotch defeated Mustafa Ali to capture the TNA International Championship in the main event of Thursday Night IMPACT! on AMC, headlining a card that also set the steel-cage stipulation for the promotion’s August 23 Lockdown event in Chicago.
The Liacouras Center show combined a title change, a Knockouts Tag Team Championship defense decided by disqualification, and the continuation of the Knockouts Television Championship tournament.

Leon Slater and Ricky Sosa opened the broadcast with a win over The System’s Cedric Alexander and Eddie Edwards. Slater pinned Alexander after a Swanton 450. Slater challenged Alexander, the reigning X-Division Champion, to a title match at Lockdown immediately afterward. Alexander refused, telling Slater on air that he would never get another opportunity at the title.

In the Knockouts Television Championship tournament, Indi Hartwell defeated Thea Hail and Jada Stone defeated Jody Threat, advancing both to the semifinal round.

The Knockouts World Tag Team Championship was defended under handicap conditions after Rosemary could not be located. Allie, wrestling alone for DemonXBunny, was disqualified against The Elegance Brand after using the championship belt as a weapon during a run-in from The Personal Concierge and Mr. Elegance. Allie retained the titles under the champion’s-advantage clause. Director of Operations Daria Rae announced a rematch in a steel cage at Lockdown.

The Hardys addressed the Philadelphia crowd following their win over The Righteous, drawing an interruption from Nic and Ryan Nemeth. Ryan challenged the Hardys to defend the TNA World Tag Team Championship at Lockdown; the challenge was accepted, and Director of Authority Santino Marella made the match official inside a steel cage. Marella additionally booked Ryan Nemeth against Matt Hardy for next week’s episode and confirmed Jeff Hardy will challenge Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Championship in two weeks.

KC Navarro addressed the Philadelphia crowd regarding his recent TNA World Championship loss. The System interrupted and attacked him before Slater, Sosa, and Fabian Aichner ran in for the save.

In the main event, Mustafa Ali defended the International Championship against fellow Order 4 member Jason Hotch. Hotch superplexed Ali through a ringside table, and the match spilled into interference from John Skyler, Mila Moore, Tasha Steelz, and Secret Agent Zero as Order 4 fractured. Ali attempted to steal the pin using the ropes for leverage, but Steelz shoved his feet free. Hotch finished the match with a double stomp followed by a flying splash for the pinfall.
