Salute to the Fallen has always been one of those WDWA nights where the roster walks in with a little more purpose. This year felt even stronger because several talents arrived with fresh momentum behind them. The South Berkeley Volunteer Fire Company building was packed and loud before the first bell, and the energy never dipped.

The opener featured Chulo Montana taking on Myles Millennium. Chulo came in riding the excitement of a recent ROH Wrestling appearance, and you could feel that extra spark in the way he carried himself. The match had a back and forth pace with each man landing impactful offense. Millennium tried to build momentum with his speed, but Chulo stayed right with him. The turning point came when the referee knocked Millennium off balance while he was perched on the top rope. Chulo seized the moment and closed the match out.

Levi Mortalis followed with a win over Dance Dance Lucha Libre. Mortalis brought a colder and more deliberate style that clashed perfectly with the high speed of Dance Dance Lucha Libre. Mortalis sealed the victory with a series of power moves. Dance Dance Lucha Libre had to be carried out.

Sis Sisaki and Gabby Gilbert clashed in a match that opened with a classic test of strength between the two competitors. The tie up quickly broke down into a succession of brutal headbutts from Gilbert, each one landing with real force. Sisaki answered with her own unique offense, using sharp counters and sudden bursts of movement to keep the match from slipping away. Gilbert grew more and more frustrated as Sisaki refused to stay down. That frustration finally boiled over when Gilbert attacked Sisaki with what appeared to be a metal pointing stick. Before more damage could be done, Scarlett Meidan rushed in and made the save.

Joey Martinez and Jacob Favor delivered a match built on pure contrast. Martinez relied on the strength and power that earned him the name The Closer, throwing heavy shots and planting Favor with force every time he caught him. Favor answered with speed and agility, using quick movement and sharp timing to stay in the fight. The match produced several close two counts as both men pushed the pace and refused to stay down. In the end, Favor could not escape the grip of The Closer, who lifted him high and ended the match with a crushing death valley driver.

Tiphani Grady and Liberty L delivered a match that showed just how strong a challenger Liberty can be. Liberty came in with a mix of power and surprising speed, pushing Grady in ways few opponents have managed. Grady stayed steady through the early exchanges, weathering Liberty’s bursts of offense and waiting for the right moment. As the match wore on, Grady recognized and avoided Liberty's attempted cannonball. Grady took full advantage, found her opening, and closed the match with authority to secure another hard earned win.

Javari Wolf and Tyler Hastings brought a physical contest. Wolf’s power advantage was clear from the start. Hastings fought hard but Wolf kept landing the heavier shots and eventually put him away. It felt like a statement win for Wolf. After the match, Hastings attacked ring announcer Luke McCarren without provocation, leaving the crowd stunned.

Scarlett Meidan and Jason Curtis delivered a chaotic and punishing match. Scarlett opened the contest by striking Curtis across the back with a kendo stick, setting the tone immediately. Throughout the match she matched the power of Curtis with technique and agility, refusing to be overwhelmed. Curtis answered with a devastating offense of his own, repeatedly using the ring posts in an attempt to incapacitate Meidan. While the referee attended to her, Curtis exposed the top turnbuckle to set up further damage. A distraction from Tiphani Grady allowed Curtis to land a kendo stick shot on Meidan, but the momentum shifted again when Meidan sent Curtis into the exposed turnbuckle. She followed with a sharp back stabber and secured the win.

The tag match brought the chaos that WDWA fans always love. Money and Power faced Ykies, Zakar Shah, and Clay Jacobs in a match that never slowed down. Like Chulo, Ykies came in with the buzz of a recent ROH Wrestling appearance of his own, and the crowd clearly recognized it. Midway through the match, Clay Jacobs was busted open by what appeared to be a strike from J.T.R’s belt buckle. Seeing his own blood seemed to flip a switch, and Jacobs suddenly turned on Zakar Shah. The two had only recently sorted out their differences, but this made it clear that not everything was resolved. This betrayal came at the exact moment when Ykies, Zakar Shah, and Clay Jacobs looked poised for victory. With their teamwork shattered, Money and Power capitalized on the chaos and secured the win.

Ranchhand Carlson and Jamie Hall continued their escalating rivalry with the second match in their three match series, this time under dog collar rules. The two heavy hitters were chained together by their necks, and the match delivered every bit of brutality that comes with that stipulation. They traded punishing blows, chokes, and chain induced low shots while the fight spilled across the ring. Both men were eventually busted open, adding another layer of intensity to an already brutal encounter. Carlson endured the punishment and found the opening he needed to secure the win. Their final encounter will be a Last Man Standing match on June 27, and after this war, the stakes feel even higher.

Salute to the Fallen 2026 delivered a full night of action with a roster that brought variety, heart, and steady intensity from the opening bell to the final match. The crowd stayed energized throughout the event and responded to every shift in the action. Every match on the card showed the effort, pride, and commitment each performer brought to the ring.
